Noel Voo

LLB (Hones)(London), CLP, Managing Partner of Voo & Partners

Noel Voo is the managing partner of Voo & Partner. She earned her LLB with second-class honors from the University of London. Subsequently, in 2013, she successfully obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice. In 2014, she began her pupillage at Messrs Tsang & Co, where she gained valuable experience in civil litigation and criminal matters. She was admitted to practice as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak in 2015 and as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2016.

Currently, Noel handles various aspects of conveyancing matters, including housing projects and development, with numerous property developers spanning commercial, residential, and mixed development nationwide. She also works on loan and security documentation for various banks and financial institutions, as well as conveyancing sub-sale matters. Her expertise extends to handling matters related to Probate & Estate Administration and Family and Matrimonial Law.

CATHERINE VOO SIN PEI

Catherine Voo, the co-founder and partner at Voo & Partners, is a distinguished legal professional with extensive experience in the field. She earned her degree from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, and was admitted to practice as an Advocate & Solicitor of both the High Court in Malaya in 2003 and the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak in 2004.

Since 2004, Catherine Voo has been deeply involved in civil and commercial litigation, specializing in areas such as debts recovery & fraud, commercial disputes, defamation, land disputes, tenancy & distress actions and bankruptcy & insolvency. In 2007, she took the initiative to establish Messrs Voo & Co, where she has garnered invaluable expertise in civil litigation, conveyancing, and various commercial matters.

Catherine Voo is recognised for her expertise as both a negotiator and litigator, always putting her clients' needs first. She firmly believes in resolving disputes through negotiation, mediation or other alternative methods to achieve optimal outcomes for her clients.

Beyond her private practice, Catherine Voo has broadened her legal horizons through roles within an independent international investment company. This experience provided her with a broad understanding of financial services, real estate, and commercial matters across regions including New Zealand, China, and the British Virgin Islands. Catherine's diverse background uniquely positions her to offer insightful and comprehensive legal counsel across various areas of the law.

GRACE VOO SIN WEI

Grace Voo Sin Wei is the founder of Voo & Partner. She holds a LL.B (Hons) Degree from the University of London and a Certificate of Legal Practice (C.L.P) from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board of Malaysia. Grace Voo has been appointed as the Commissioner for Oaths by the Chief Justice of the Federal Court. She was also nominated for the “Young Lawyer of The Year (age below 40)” category at the 2021 Asian Legal Business (ALB) Malaysia Law Awards.

Grace Voo has devoted her practice to the area of Divorce and Family Law since being admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2010. Her experience and depth of knowledge ensure that her clients receive the highest quality of representation in dealing with all aspects of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, and adoption cases. She is an effective negotiator and skilled litigator, always keeping the best interests of her clients as her sole focus. Although Grace Voo believes her clients are best served by a negotiated settlement and strives to settle matters through mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, she is an experienced litigator who has successfully represented hundreds of clients in court.

Grace Voo is also responsible for leading the firm’s Probate and Administration Estates and Will writing, as well as conveyancing and banking matters.

SHARON KOK TYNG SHIUAN

LL.B (Hons) University of Northumbria, CLP, Senior Associate of Voo & Partners

Sharon Kok obtained her LLB (Hons) degree from Northumbria University in Newcastle, United Kingdom and thereafter obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice in year 2017.

Sharon gained valuable experience in general conveyancing matters especially developer’s housing projects during her pupillage and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar as Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in year 2018. Subsequently, Sharon commenced her pupillage in Messrs Shelley Yap at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and was being exposed to general civil litigation matters. She was then admitted and enrolled as an Advocate & Solicitor to the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in year 2019.

Sharon currently focuses on handling conveyancing matters, including sale and purchase of commercial or residential properties, developer’s housing projects, perfection of transfer and charge, purchase by way of auction, banking and finance and tenancy agreements.

LL.B (TAS, Australia), CLP, Managing Partner of Voo & Co

Voo Sin Men is the Managing Partner of Voo & Co, Sabah. She graduated from University of Tasmania, Australia and was admitted to practice as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak in 2011.

Voo Sin Men is currently in charge of leading litigation and conveyancing practice at Messrs Voo & Co, our affiliated firm in Sandakan, Sabah. She is also experienced in handling matters of Family and Matrimonial Law, Probate & Estate Administration and preparation of various deeds and agreements.
